Ethan — Global Sales Director, Cleanspec
Ethan · Commercial Shenzhen

Ethan runs the commercial desk at Cleanspec. That means the quotation you receive, the Incoterm printed on it, the date we commit to, and the person who answers when the date moves. He has spent more than a decade selling cleanroom consumables into Europe, North America and Southeast Asia, and has worked with the WIPESTAR range since 2014.

What I handle

  • Quotations for the stock, sterile and private label programmes
  • Incoterms, payment terms and consolidated shipments
  • Distributor, OEM and private label agreements
  • Commercial escalation when a delivery date is at risk

Background

Most of Ethan's work sits between two questions: what the customer asked for, and what the room actually needs. A purchasing team may send a part number from a previous supplier. A production engineer may send a description of a surface and the solvent used on it. Both are starting points, and neither is a specification until someone checks the construction, the edge finish and the extractables profile against the process.

He has priced wipes by the pallet and sterile packs by the case, and he is comfortable saying that a cheaper reference is the wrong one when the test data does not fit. That answer is occasionally unwelcome. It is also the reason customers come back with a second line rather than a second supplier.

His territory covers the seven families in the catalogue: wiping cloths, wiping papers, cleanroom swabs, pre-wetted wipes, sterile products, PPE and face masks, and spill control. He works with the technical desk on anything that involves a solvent, an optics coating or a Grade A/B transfer, and with the quality desk on documentation that has to survive an audit.

Working with me

Four details make a quotation useful rather than approximate: the application, the annual volume, the destination port and the cleanroom class. If you have a current reference and a reason to replace it, include both. If the reason is price alone, say so — it changes which two references we put forward.

Expect a first reply within one working day, a sample proposal within three, and a written specification before any order is confirmed. If a shipment is going to miss its date, you will hear it from me before you see it on a tracking page.
